FORMER NURSE ACCUSED OF PURPOSELY INJURING SEVERAL BABIES AT VIRGINIA HOSPITAL, RELEASED ON BOND

Elizabeth Ann Strotman, a 26-year-old former nurse from Henrico County,  Virginia has been set free on a $25,000 bond. This is after she was allegedly seen on a surveillance video by authorities abusing a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Court documents claim: Ms.Strotman placed pressure and weight on the baby’s legs, and pushed the baby’s legs backward to his head. The baby could be heard crying in agony.

Henrick Doctors’ Hospital,  informed the public that in the months of November and December, hospital staff discovered three babies in the hospital’s NICU unit with “unexplainable fractures.”

The hospital also claimed it found similar injuries to four different babies in 2023.

While on bond, the former nurse must remain under house arrest at her parents’ home. She is not allowed to be around vulnerable people,  which would include children and elderly adults.
