My Background:

I use citizen journalism and activism as a weapon in the ongoing fight for social justice in America and the rest of the world.

My journey into this space is deeply rooted in my family’s history and my personal belief in the power of understanding our past to shape a more equitable future: My father was an entrepreneur and immigrant from Ghana, West Africa. My mother was a Foundational Black American woman from Detroit, Michigan. She worked as a social worker and therapist and helped at-risk youth and counseled adults in rehab.

With a background in historical research focused on Black history and several years managing digital content for platforms dedicated to advocating for social justice and educating the Black youth on their true history. I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and digital storytelling expertise to Our-Truth.com.

I first got involved in activism over a decade ago, I began by going to protests against police brutality, racism, and Islamophobia.

My involvement in community organizing around social justice has provided me with a firsthand understanding of the dynamics of activism and the importance of providing a platform for these vital voices.

I am dedicated to ensuring that our content is not only accurate and informative but also engaging, thought-provoking, and reflective of the diverse experiences within the Black community.

I am constantly seeking out new perspectives and stories to amplify, working to make Our-Truth.com a valuable resource for learning, reflection, and action.

I am excited to continue this journey with you and our other readers, exploring the past, engaging with the present, and contributing to a future where Black narratives are fully seen, heard, and celebrated.

  13. Dear sir, thank you for liking and following my humble blog. It began as a ‘familial duty’, to transcribe my great uncle’s travel journal, from a similar (hand-typed) transcription my father did many years ago. This ‘job’ has opened my eyes to the conditions of the country 28 years after the turn of the 20th century. Thank you again.

  17. Hi, thanks for the post like! Thought I’d stop by—nice blog! Always a fan of activism 🙂 I’ve got an activism blog of my own, Common Sense Politics (US), but it’s barely started. Haven’t even gotten rid of the automatic WordPress theme and content fillers.
